Local Content: Brazilian Equipment Manufacturing — Compressors, Pumps, Motors and Electrical
Executive summary. Equipment is where local content is hardest to earn and easiest to misread. Four manufacturers show four different models: Siemens Energy assembles whole power-and-compression skids in Santa Bárbara d'Oeste (SP), 20% above the minimum local content required; Sulzer builds high-energy injection pumps in Jundiaí (SP), with 1,300+ pumps in Petrobras service; WEG makes the motors in Jaraguá do Sul (SC) that ship inside European and Asian compressor and pump packages; and ABB manufactures switchboards in Sorocaba (SP) for P-84 and P-85's eHouses. Three of the four are within about 100 km of each other in São Paulo state.

For a bid team, the table is the point: an equipment package's local content isn't a property of the vendor's name, it's a property of which route that vendor uses on that specific package. The same compressor train can carry very different Brazilian content depending on whether it's skidded in Santa Bárbara d'Oeste, driven by a WEG motor, or shipped complete from Europe.
